The Department of Transportation takes time to showcase the state’s first Diverging Diamond Interchange located at Highway 11 and the Interstate south of Janesville. DOT Secretary Mark Gottlieb told a crowd, gathered for a ribbon cutting Thursday morning, how important the $14 million project is to the entire Interstate expansion. The DDI is based on a standard diamond interchange design with a shift in highway traffic to safely and efficiently accommodate higher volumes and left turn movements.
