A shooting in Janesville’s 4th Ward (Monday) leads to an hours long standoff with police outside a residence on the 400 block of Johnson Street.
The Rock County 911 Communications Center says shots were reported on the 400 block of Wilson Avenue around 1:30 (Monday) afternoon.
Shortly after a victim drove himself to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center with a gunshot wound.
Using a K-9 police were able to track the suspect or suspects to a residence near 4th Ward Park where they refused to come out.
Around 6:00 p.m. one person came out of the residence and was taken into custody, while police continued to try to make contact with other people inside.
As of 8:15 Monday night police were still camped outside the residence.
