Janesville City Manager Mark Freitag uses a sledge to hammer home his message about downtown redevelopment during a “Wreck the Deck” fundraiser Wednesday on the parking plaza spanning the Rock River. Freitag led a line-up of dozens of residents who paid for their chance to be a part of the city’s history. Downtown Development Alliance Treasurer Maddie Adams says the money raised will go towards marketing.
