Beloit Salvation Army sets Red Kettle Campaign goal at $65,000

Lieutenant Kelly Summit of the local Beloit Salvation Army announced Tuesday that the 2016 Red Kettle goal is $65,000.
She shared that with the difficulty the Army experienced last year, the goal amount was kept at the same level as the previous year.  “We realize that the need has increased, but we want to be responsible with the resources that we have and just make sure that we can achieve this goal.”  Lt. Summit shared that at this time there are no plans to cut any programs, but this is contingent on a successful fund raising season.
Once again this year, as in previous years, The Salvation Army is partnering with the local Culver’s at 2676 Cranston Road, in celebrating the first official day of the season, Friday November 18th 2016.  Everyone who signs up to bell ring at Culvers that day will get a free scoop of custard.
