A local state representative has been elected Assembly Democratic Caucus Chair. Mark Spreitzer of Beloit says he’s honored to have earned the support of his fellow Democrats to take on the leadership position in the upcoming session. Spreitzer says although not reflected by their share of seats in the Assembly chamber, Democratic ideals are as popular as ever. Wisconsinites support rebuilding a roaring middle class economy, fully funding public education, caring for seniors and children, protecting the environment, and making government clean, efficient, and transparent. He also says the role comes with a clear goal to help return Assembly Democrats to the governing majority.
