Public listening session regarding proposed rail line planned

Dozens of Rock County residents, especially those in the Town of Beloit, are wondering what a proposed Great Lakes Basin Trasnportation rail line will do to their lives. State Representative Mark Spreitzer of Beloit says a key concern is the new route was proposed after the federal public comment period.  Spreitzer is planning a public listening session a week from Wednesday beginning at 6:30 in the evening at Beloit Turner High School. The Democrat also says the Surface Transportation Board is planning another public comment period in the spring.
