The Janesville Police Department’s newest officer is on the streets. K9 Supervisor Sergeant Dean Sukus says the latest police dog is named Grand. The 15-month old German Shepherd comes to the department from Pennsylvania. Sukus says Grand brings the department back to full strength with two dogs. A special public welcome ceremony is planned for Rotary Gardens at 1:00 p.m. Monday. The department also plans to recognize the donors who contributed to the recent fundraising campaign.
