Seven Janesville residents have taken out nomination papers for April’s city council race. City Clerk-Treasurer Dave Godek says those candidates are incumbents Doug Marklein and Kay Deupree, along with newcomers Tom Wolfe, Spencer Zimmerman, Sue Conley, Jim Dennis, and Steve Knox. Incumbents Sam Liebert and Carol Tidwell have already filed their non-candidacy papers. The council has four seats up for election. Papers must be returned to the clerk by the end of business January 3rd.
