A conditional use permit from the Beloit City Council is all that stands between a developer and a new six-story, 127 room hotel.
Planning and Building Services Director Drew Pennington says the City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed Holiday Inn Express at 7:00 Monday night.
Pennington says the project requires a conditional use permit as zoning ordinance only allows for four story structures.
The proposed site for the hotel is the former Wickes Lumberyard at the of the I-43/I-90 interchange.
