Two more people have taken out nomination papers for Janesville City Council, bringing the total number of potential candidates to nine for four open seats. Jim Farrell and Dennis Graham are the latest to take out nomination papers. Farrell is a retired accountant who served two terms on the council before being narrowly defeated this past spring. Graham is a former long-time GM employee who’s been critical of the current council. They join incumbent council members Kay Deupree and Doug Marklein, along with newcomers Sue Conley, Jim Dennis, Steve Knox, Tom Wolfe and Spencer Zimmerman as those running for council this April. Candidates must return the nomination papers with 100 signatures of eligible Janesville voters by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3.
