A local legislator will be taking on an expanded role this session. Representative Deb Kolste of Janesville will be serving on seven Assembly committees, compared to four in the last session. The Democrat was reappointed to the Transportation, Small Business Development, and Public Benefits Reform committees. The third-term legislator was also reappointed to the Health committee as the ranking minority member, as well as being named to the Aging and Long-term care, Science and Technology, and rules committees. She admits serving on seven committees this session will require more study and effort.
