Janesville’s youngest City Council member may recognize the value of social media.
In a Youtube video posted to Facebook, Jorgensen explains the the committee considering the repair or removal of the Monterey dam is only getting one side of the story – from the company that specializes in removal. That video was viewed more than 9,000 times.
Jorgensen calls on concerned citizens to voice their opinion at Monday night’s Council meeting.
The citizens must have been listening, more than a half dozen turned out to voice their opposition to removing the dam, despite the fact that the item wasn’t on the council agenda.
The Monterey Dam Citizens Advisory Committee will meet again on February 7th at 5:30 p.m.
