The city of Beloit is combining the treasurer and clerk’s offices. Finance and Administrative Services Director Eric Miller says the change is being made possible thanks to the retirement of the city’s longtime treasurer. Miller says the merger should create greater efficiency and improve customer service. The move still needs final council approval.
