A consultant that specializes in both dam repair and removal seems to have the same opinion about the Monterery Dam in Janesville as the company that only specializes in removal.
Two weeks ago a number of citizens appealed to the Janesville City Council with concerns that the committee charged with deciding the fate of the dam was only hearing from a company that specializes in removal.
Chris Goodwin with Ayres and Associates was invited to participate in the Monterey Dam Citizen Advisory Committee Tuesday evening along with Beth Wetzel with Inter-Fluve.
Goodwin indicated to the committee that the dam would be a good candidate for removal
Citizens will get a chance to weigh in with their opinion during a community engagement forum on February 22nd.
