Just in time for Valentines Day, Visit Beloit Marketing Director Stacey Bodnar says Main Street America has named the state-line city one of the most romantic in the country. Some of the reasons listed is Beloit is a small town with urban flair. Main Street American adds the city also celebrates the arts and embraces its American Industrial history. Bodnar says the recognition will help with marketing Beloit as a destination for couples. The other four finalists in the national competition include Ivanhoe Village in Orlando, Florida, Salem, Massachusetts, Waxahachie, Texas, and York, Pennsylvania.
