The Blackhawk Golden Kiwanis “Truck on Ice” contest didn’t last very long this year. Contest spokesman Glenn Disrude says club members got the truck placed on the ice of the Traxler Park Lagoon in Janesville Saturday morning, and it likely sunk early Sunday afternoon. Disrud says one day on the ice is still better than none. Tickets were sold through Saturday, which was the deadline to place the truck. Now the club will have to wait for the ice to clear before checking the on-board clock and identifying who had the best guess to when it would sink.
