A German Shepherd from Kenlyn Kennels wins top honors at the Westminster Dog Show in New York. Badger Veterinarian Clinic Doctor Steve Servantes in Janesville cares for “Rumor” who won “Best in Show” Tuesday. Servantes, who’s known Rumor’s co-owner Kent Boyles for 20-years isn’t surprised. The veterinarian calls Rumor is one-in-a-million. He says the five-year-old female is typical of the breed and exactly what judges look for. Rumor has won more than a hundred other contests, and even came in second last year at Westminster. Boyles calls the victory “unbelievable,” noting the dog was a house pet in retirement, and only returned to the show ring last month.
