The Delavan Police Department is warning residents open burning is prohibited this time of year. The advice follows a weekend fire. Emergency services were called to an out-of control brush fire on Creekside Drive early Sunday afternoon. Authorities say the fire was caused by the illegal burning of a small pile of yard waste.
