Cause of weekend fire in Janesville discovered

This weekend’s fire in the 4400 block of Overlook Drive in Janesville could have been prevented. Fire Department Battalion Chief Chris Lukas says the cause points to a young teen playing with burning materials in a shed.  He says the teen admitted playing with a blow torch, and after believing it to be extinguished, set it on a pile of papers.  The fire spread from the shed to the home early Sunday afternoon causing $185,000 damage.  No one was injured.
