Local cheesemaker headed to national contest

A local award winning cheesemaker is putting its’ tastiest on the line this week. Decatur Dairy of Brodhead President Steve Stettler is headed to Green Bay for the U.S. Championship Cheese Contest.  Decatur has won before, but Stettler says the competition is extremely stiff with close to 2400 entries.  Never-the-less Decatur will be entering a number of cheeses including Muenster, Brick, Dill Havarti, and for the first time smoked cheeses.  The contest runs Tuesday and Wednesday.
