A 26-year-old man may be lucky to be alive after overdosing on opiates early Friday morning.
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 6600 block of Bluff Road in the Town of LaGrange just before 2:00 in the morning on the report of an unresponsive male.
Upon arrival deputies found the man’s breathing was shallow and he was unresponsive to pain or light. Witnesses revealed that he abuses opiate medications.
After three doses of the antidote drug Naloxone, the victim was alert and responsive enough to be taken to the hospital for further treatment and he was released the next day.
