As education adapts to new social trends and technology, at least one Janesville charter school endeavors to evolve. Arise Virtual Academy Dean David Parr says the high school bases its individualized curriculum on each students plans for the future. Parr says the curriculum is coupled with on-line learning, internships, and coursework at local colleges to ensure the students are ready for their next step. He says Arise would like to share this philosophy with the community during an open house scheduled from noon to 2:00 and 5:00 til 7:00 this Thursday at Franklin Middle School on Crosby Avenue in Janesville.
