A late season snowfall may be confusing more than early emerging plants. Motorists are being advised to monitor rapidly changing road conditions as one Rock County community cancels its declaration of a snow emergency, and another issues a warning. Beloit officials say the anticipated amounts of snow never materialized for their community, so they’ve canceled a snow emergency. However, heavier snowfall has prompted the city of Janesville to declare a snow emergency beginning at 3:00 o’clock Monday afternoon. Officials say snow and ice accumulations will require city staff to complete a full plow operation. Motorists are advised to park in designated areas, and not on the street until plows have removed the snow from curb to curb.
