Janesville isn’t alone in boasting about a quality park’s system. Rock County is also known for a wide variety of parks, trails, and activities. County Parks Community Coordinator David Hoffman says a new “friends” group is being put together to look after all the parks. Hoffman says the county already has ten “friends” groups, but they tend to focus on a specific activity or an individual park. He says the goal will be to help preserve, promote, protect, and enhance the entire park system and various activities. He says an organizational meeting for the all encompassing “friends” group is planned for 6:00 o’clock Wednesday night at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport.
