Governor Walker unveils summer advertising plans Monday morning at a state conference on tourism. Janesville Area Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Director Christine Rebout is excited about two new commercials highlighting traditions in Wisconsin vacations. Rebout says Governor Walker sold the plan by telling the gathering of more than 900 in Milwaukee about his own family vacations. Rebout also learned this morning tourism spending is up 30 % statewide over the last five years. She says she’s looking forward to seeing how the numbers are in Rock County, when they come out later this spring.
