Beloit Firefighter Jake Fehrenbach’s hearing before the City’s Police and Fire Commission continues at 10:00 Wednesday morning.
Fehrenbach accused of violating the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act by taking a confidential patient care report out of the building and showing it to others before redacting private information on the document.
During the first day of Fehrenbach’s hearing on Monday Prosecuting Attorney Kevin Polland presented four witness on behalf of the City.
Fehrenbach will get a chance to cross-examine witnesses and present his defense Wednesday.
Beloit Fire Chief Brad Liggett is recommending Fehrenbach be suspended for a single day without pay.
In 2015 Fehrenbach received a written reprimand after a bullying incident with another employee. In 2012 he received coaching from improper documentation of narcotics on an ambulance.
