The Janesville Police Department is warning residents about a computer phone scam. Police says victims are contacted by phone advising the residents of issues with their computers, and soliciting funds for repairs. Officers say someone calling your phone has no access to your computer, and wouldn’t be aware of any problems. Consumers are advised to check with the Better Business Bureau to verify the legitimacy of any suspected business before making any payments by phone.
