The subject of Islam is a hot topic in American politics these days, and the amir of Dawa Circle Mosque in Janesville, Salih Erschen hopes a little bit of understanding can help get past years of negative public propaganda. Erschen says education often reduces the stress of tense social issues. Erschen will be bringing his message of understanding to the Diversity Action Team of Rock County Monday night. This month’s Courageous Conversations is slated for 5:30 p.m. at Community Action in Beloit’s Eclipse Center.
