Brodhead students taught the dangers of using smart phones behind the wheel

A major cell phone company will be asking students of a local high school to put their texting and driving skills to the line. A-T-&-T spokesperson Jessica Erickson says Triple-A is providing a driving simulator for lessons at Brodhead High School. Erickson says the “It Can Wait” campaign started in 2010 and has already reached 40-thousand Wisconsin high school students. AT&T is working with AAA and the State Patrol in the effort. Unfortunately a recent survey shows most people are slow learners. Erickson says seven-out-of-ten people say they use their smart phones while driving. The simulator will be at Brodhead High School from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday.
