A small Rock County community has some big plans for growth. Orfordville Economic Development Committee Chair Beth Schmidt says they’ve come a long way in a short time. Schmidt says the committee was organized in 2015 and is already enjoying some successes. Among them the opening of McDermott Automotive in the Business Park this month. A ribbon cutting is planned for next week Saturday. She says a coffee shop is expected to open downtown in the next few weeks. The committee is planning a special event for area businesses next Thursday to unveil their vision for the future.
