Roy Chapman Andrews Society doles out this year’s Society’s Distinguished Explorer Award

The Roy Chapman Andrews Society will honor Wade Davis, as the 16th recipient and the first international recipient of the Society’s Distinguished Explorer Award.

Davis is a cultural anthropologist and ethno-botanist.

Davis will be in Beloit to receive the Society’s Distinguished Explorer Award in a ceremony set for Friday, April 21 at 4:30 p.m. in Eaton Chapel on the Beloit College Campus. The explorer will speak about his explorations and discoveries during his acceptance lecture, “The Wayfinders: Why Ancient Wisdom Matters in the Modern World.”

The lecture is free, and the public is welcome.
