The man who caused area schools, churches, and government buildings to take extra precautions earlier this month makes an appearance in federal court.
32-year-old Joseph Jakubowski refused to stand for Magistrate Judge Stephen Crocker during his arraignment Tuesday morning in Madison.
Not guilty pleas were entered on felony possession and theft of firearms charges.
Jakubowski is accused of sending a lengthy anti-government manifesto to the president, burglarizing a gun store, setting his car on fire, and then disappearing only to turn up under a tarp in rural Vernon County more than a week later.
