The Rock County Sheriff’s Office plans to make its presence known at this Saturday’s “Break in the Weather” party in Newville. Sheriff’s Captain Jude Maurer says the enforcement operation is designed to focus attention on operating while intoxicated, and other alcohol offenses. Deputies will be on patrol both by squad and foot. Mauer says the goal is to help ensure everyone remains safe while having a good time.
