The Rock County Sheriff’s Office now knows the cost of overtime for the search of a 32-year-old Janesville man accused of burglarizing a gun store, and sending a lengthy manifesto to the president. Sheriff’s Commander Troy Knudson says the bill totals close to $80 thousand. The sheriff’s office was stuck with most of the overtime costs for law enforcement agencies in Rock County. The Janesville Police Department spent more than $40 thousand on the ten-day investigation, and Beloit Police spent about $6 thousand. All in all, more than two dozen local, state, and federal agencies were involved in the capture of Joseph Jakubowski.
