Mercyhealth has a new partnership with the Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago to provide specialized pediatric services at its planned hospital in Rockford. Mercyhealth officials say offerings will include pediatric inpatient and outpatient services in areas such as cardiovascular surgery, urology and oncology, among others. Patients will also have around-the-clock access to telemedicine consultation for pediatric neurocritical care, infectious disease and emergency medicine. Mercyhealth is building a $505 million Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Rockford, which is expected to open in late 2018.
