The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office releases the name of the 59-year-old Janesville man killed in a two-car head-on crash late Monday afternoon on highway 59 between Milton and Whitewater.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says a 52-year-old woman, headed eastbound in the westbound lane, near East Gould Road in Lima Township, hit a westbound vehicle driven by William Moffatt Jr.
Both drivers had to be extricated.
Moffatt died at the scene, and the woman was taken by Med Flight to U-W Hospital.
Deputies say it’s unclear at this time why the woman was in the wrong lane.
