A Beloit establishment that’s had it’s fair share of run-ins with the law makes an attempt to sell booze again.
Beloit Police Captain Dan Risse says the owner of Adiktion Night Club will present his case for a new liquor license to the Alcohol Beverage License Control Committee Tuesday, May 9th at 4:00 p.m. The public will have their chance to weigh in during a public hearing.
During the hearing in 2015 when the club’s liquor license was revoked Beloit Police testified for hours about numerous incidents of underage drinking and fights, including one incident where three people were shot in the parking lot.
Back in February the owner of Club Adiktion submitted an application for a new liquor license before the ABLCC, but promptly withdrew it before the committee was able to discuss it.
Even if the ABLCC green lights the liquor license Tuesday, it will still need to go before the City Council.
