A local legislator wants to hear from area businesses about legislative funding plans for transportation. Democrat Don Vruwink of MIlton is hosting a roundtable discussion on “The State of Our Roads”. As Republicans present plans for transportation funding in the state budget, Vruwink is turning to area businesses for input. He says he hopes their voice adds some weight in what he describes as one of the most contentious issues in the debate over the state budget bill. The Democrat is planning a round-table discussion on the topic with area business leaders for Friday noon at the Culver’s Restaurant in Newville. He says representatives Deb Kolste of Janesville and Mark Spreitzer of Beloit, as well as, State Senator Janis Ringhand of Evansville, are all invited.
