Officers say the clerk at the Stop N Go gas station on East Milwaukee Street reported a woman tried to rob the store about 3:30 a.m Thursday. The clerk says the woman entered the store, demanded money, waited a short period of time, and then fled on foot running north towards Mount Zion Avenue. No weapon was displayed an nobody was hurt. The suspect is described as a white, about five-foot-three, fair complexion, and was wearing a white or gray hooded sweatshirt with navy blue sleeves and hood, gray sweatpants, and tennis shoes.
