An accident at a stop sign leads to the Operating While Intoxicated arrest of a 60-year-old Janesville man. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says a little after 5:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon, dispatchers told deputies a car was swerving and crossing the centerline while eastbound on West Mineral Point Road by North County H. A sheriff’s Office release says a deputy later saw the car stopped in the northbound lane of North Pearl Street by Franklin Street “for no apparent reason,” After another vehicle drove around the car, the driver accelerated and “intentionally” rear-ended that vehicle. Deputies say Paul Botsford was arrested on charges of criminal recklessness, criminal damage to property, and operating while intoxicated 4th offense.
