Love it, or hate it, the City of Beloit has a new logo.
City Manager Lori Curtis Luther says it’s been a long time coming with the last logo adopted in the mid 1990’s and multiple different logos being used by different City departments.
Many residents aren’t pleased with the options chosen by the City Council though, several spoke out against the options under consideration by the City Council Monday night.
After spending $20,000 and holding two workshops and a community survey, the City Council adopted the new logos Monday night in a five to two vote with council members Clinton Anderson and Mark Preuschl dissenting.
