City of Janesville considers changes to mobile food vendor rules

The mobile food vending business seems to be booming in Janesville.
Building and Development Services Manager Tom Clippert says Monday night the City Council will introduce changes to the code of general ordinances that would make it easier for these food vendors to do business in Janesville.
The changes include allowing mobile food vendors to operate on private property without a site plan review. They also allow for the use of food trailers, as well as the trucks that are already included in the language.
The City Council is expected to introduce the changes and refer them to the Plan Commission Monday night at 6:00 p.m.
