The Janesville City Council approves borrowing $18.7 million – the second largest amount in the past 10 years.
Assistant to the City Manager Max Gagin says the largest portion – more than $4 million is for street repairs.
The City Council approved the 2017 note issue in a six to one vote Monday night with council member Jens Jorgensen dissenting.
