Many farmers in Rock County may be anxiously watching the weather. UW Extension Agriculture Agent Nick Baker says spring rains have delayed planting by two to three weeks. Baker says many tractors are just sitting in the field. He says 20% of the corn, and 70% of soybeans still need to be planting. Some farmers may soon have to make hard choices about whether to switch from planting corn to lower priced soybeans, or not planting at all.
