Beloit man sentenced to probation for marijuana grow operation

A 51-year-old Beloit man is sentenced to a year and a half of probation for growing more than 50 marijuana plants along a creek in the town of Beloit.
Judge James Daley held open a guilty plea on a charge of manufacturing THC and accepted no contest pleas on charges of maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession of drug paraphernalia for Christopher Leach Wednesday afternoon in Rock County Court.
If Leach successfully complete probation, the manufacturing or delivering THC charge will be dismissed.
A Rock County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Leach last September as he was leaving his grow site after receiving an anonymous tip from a member of the public.
