Memorial Day ceremonies planned in Janesville

To mark the country’s involvement in World War One a century ago, Janesville Patriotic Society President Tom Stahura says a special tribute will be paid during Memorial Day Ceremonies Monday.  Stahura says the parade and ceremonies at Traxler Park will include a man dressed as a World War One soldier, and a woman in period costume.  The parade begins down Milwaukee Street at 11:00 a.m. and will continue to the park.  Ceremonies will being shortly after at about noon.  An earlier, shorter ceremony, will take place at 8:00 a.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery.
