Governor Walker is pushing to keep transportation funding, in his proposed state budget, intact. The Governor used the Interstate outside the Beloit Welcome Center Tuesday morning as a backdrop to make his pitch to “Get it Done”. His message is targeted toward the legislature, where his call to action is in response to a proposal to break transportation off from the full state budget. The Governor says this could delay project like the Interstate in Rock County. He says I-30/90 serves thousands of businesses in Dane and Rock Counties and is the busiest freight corridor in the state.
