There’s a fever spreading at Grinnell Hall Senior Center in Beloit and the only prescription is the ukulele.
Senior Center Coordinator Paula Schuut says a couple of upcoming events at Grinnell Hall are focused on the small, guitar-like instrument.
This Friday at 1:00 p.m. the senior center will host a showing of a documentary about the ukulele and next Monday afternoon at 2:30 Knapton Musik Knotes will host a beginners uke circle.
Schutt says the ukulele is popular with people of all ages because it is easy to learn how to play, and relatively inexpensive.
For more information or to register for either event you can contact Grinnell Hall.
