The Janesville City Council considers adding an additional $1.53 million in tax incentives the the nearly $5 million deal approved with SHINE Medical Technologies in 2012.
Economic Development Director Gale Price says the company says the company is having trouble raising money to raise it’s 56,000 square foot facility, so they are proposing to first build a smaller testing facility.
Price says while the additional funding from the City would not be used to construct the testing facility, it could be used to help relocate come of the capital expenditures to the proposed full scale facility.
The Janesville City Council will consider than additional funding when they meet at 6:00 Monday night.
