With the summer season’s first heat wave rolling in over the weekend, Janesville City Recreation Director Shelly Slapak is expecting a big opening day Saturday for the Rockport Pool. Slapak says the recreation department is trying something new this year with monthly family event nights. The first will be a Hawaiian Luau June 17th.
